Dermal Fillers Detroit
There are many types of dermal fillers on the market today. The most popular of which consist of a substance called Hyaluronic Acid.
Hyaluronic Acid is structurally similar to collagen and has the same appearance when injected into various areas and depths of the face. In addition to directly adding volume to the face, Hyaluronic Acid stimulates new collagen formation and acts as a scaffolding for the new collagen. Moreover, it is hydrophilic, meaning ‘water-loving’, and as such has the additional property of attracting water to the injection sites for increased volume.
Because Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body, there is a near zero risk of an allergic reaction.
Fillers are used to plump the lips, and fill in lip lines, fill in the depression at the nasolabial fold that runs from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth, and can be used to fill the marionette line from the corner of the mouth down to the chin.
Dermal filler treatments are performed by Dr. Lytle in his office. A topical anesthetic may be used before injection of dermal filler. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. The results of fillers usually last six months to a year, depending on the product used and the areas treated.
“I look at my “before” photos and can’t believe I waited so long. Now I can finally wear dresses without a bra, and I’m proud of how I look in a bikini.”
