How Long Is Thighplasty Recovery?

A Thighplasty
A thighplasty or thigh lift is a surgical procedure for the purpose of restoring the appearance and improving the look of your thigh region. The surgery tightens the tissue, thereby making the thigh area look toned and refined. Normally, people who opt for this sort of surgery have lost the elasticity in their skin, and their thighs tend to look flabby and dimpled. This is an unappealing prospect for many. When the saggy skin is lifted, the change in the appearance of the thighs is quite dramatic. The inner or outer thigh can be worked on. People may have loose skin because of a sudden loss of weight as well. In thigh lift surgery, a surgeon may work on any area of the thigh as required by the patient’s issues. If there is too much fatty tissue to be removed, liposuction may be done before thigh lift surgery. This may solve sagging skin issues, and if not, a thigh lift can be considered at a later date.
After the Surgery is Done
As the surgery includes incisions, and drains may be positioned to drain out excess fluid, surgical aftercare is of the utmost importance. There is a degree of pain after surgery, which is alleviated by medication. It is critical that the patient avoid movement of the leg at all costs. It takes around a week to twelve days to make a full recovery. In the span of a month, the bruising and swelling disappears. In around six months, a patient can go about all normal activities.
