How Does Botox Work?
Published on November 4, 2016 by Ian Lytle
Botox is known around the world as the premiere injectable for rejuvenating the face, but many aren’t quite sure how it works. Understanding how Botox works can help you decide if it is the right choice for you.
Botox is a botulinum toxin that prevents the muscles from contracting. Botox is injected into several locations on the face and allows the muscles in those treatment regions to relax. Within a few days, the muscles will become more relaxed. This allows the skin above the treated muscles to lie flat and smooth.
