Learn More About Breast Reconstruction for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Published on October 21, 2016 by Ian Lytle
Twelve percent of the female population will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and each year, hundreds of thousands of new breast cancer cases come up. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an excellent opportunity to remind survivors of breast cancer and current patients that a mastectomy doesn’t mean the end of having a chest that makes you feel happy and confident.
If you’re undergoing breast cancer treatments and are looking at undergoing a partial or full mastectomy, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ian Lytle can help. Dr. Lytle firmly believes that breast reconstruction surgery is the right of every woman who has had, or is planning to have, a mastectomy for breast cancer.
Breast reconstruction surgery can help you feel comfortable within your own skin and can help minimize the changes to your body as a result of the mastectomy surgery.
Fight against breast cancer by supporting valuable research. And if you would like to learn more about breast reconstruction surgery, contact our office and schedule your consultation.
