Liposuction vs. Tummy Tuck
Published on October 9, 2017 by Ian Lytle
If you are struggling with the appearance of your abdomen and are considering undergoing surgery, it is important that you take the time to understand which issues you are trying to address and which surgeries can properly address those issues.
If there is a stubborn pocket of fat on your abdomen that won’t respond to dieting and exercise, your ideal option is liposuction. The procedure will remove the excess fat and leave your abdomen with a flatter and more attractive appearance.
If your abdomen is plagued by excess fat, loose skin, and drooping muscle tissue, you will need to undergo a tummy tuck to have the muscles tightened and the loose skin excised. Liposuction cannot tighten the skin, so it will produce sub-par results in patients with the issue.
At Lytle Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ian Lytle offers both liposuction and tummy tucks. If you need help correcting your abdominal issues, contact our office to schedule a consultation.
